'Across The Universe'는 1970년에 발표한 영국의 전설적인 록 밴드인 비틀즈 (Beatles)의 앨범 [Let It Be] 수록곡입니다.

 

존 레논이 1968년에 만든 곡으로  1969년 야생동물 보호를 위한 자선 앨범인 [No One's Gonna Change Our World]에 수록되어 처음 발표되었습니다.

노래 후렴구의 "Jai Guru Deva Om"는 존 레넌이 인도 여행 중 힌두교의 영향을 받아서 영적 스승에게 자신을 위로해 주길 바라는
산스크리트어입니다.

국내에서는 MBC 예능 프로그램인 '무한도전' 텔레파시 편과 모 의류 CF의 배경음악으로 쓰이며 많은 인기를 얻었습니다. 많은 가수들이 리메리크를 하였지만 국내에서는 'Rufus Wainwright'의 리메이크 곡이 사랑을 받고 있습니다.
