호주의 전설적인 락/메탈 밴드인 AC/DC는 1980년 리드 보컬 Bon Scott이 심장마비로 세상을 

떠나고,뒤를 이어 Brian Johnson이 새로운 보컬을 맡게 된다. 1980년 7집앨범인 [Black In Black]은 

세상을 떠난 Bon Scott에게 바치는 헌정앨범이며, 현재까지 많은 평론가들로부터 헤비메탈의 

교과서적 음반으로 평가받고 있는 락의 최고 명반중 하나이다. 

지금도 활발히 활동을 하며 노익장을 과시하고 있는 살아있는 전설의 밴드이다.

AC/DC는 1973년 호주 시드니에서 스코틀랜드 이민자 출신인 앵거스 영, 맬컴 영 형제를 중심으로 결성된 하드 록 밴드이다. 이름의 유래는 영 형제의 누나의 제봉틀 뒷편에 AC/DC라고 쓰여있는 것을 보고 큰 소리로 연주하고 있던 이들을 제봉틀에 비유해 이름 붙였다고 한다. AC/DC는 전 세계적으로 약 2억 장의 음반판매량을 기록하였다.
